Essence

If you read this blog fairly regularly, you've seen me mention Essence as an ingredient I use frequently. But what is it?!

Quite simply, it's Emeril Lagasse's seasoning blend. I buy it at Walmart but if it isn't sold in your area, you can mix it yourself. Why should I when I can buy the exact same thing already mixed? It may be slightly cheaper to do it yourself, but I don't pay a lot for it premade. If the stores around here stopped carrying it though, I would definitely mix it myself! Love that stuff!!!
